CM Biplab Deb again hit headlines not for comments but as a singer

November 20: Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb always seems to be in the news. Known for his weird remarks, Biplab Deb has hit the headlines many a time in the recent past. However, this time he came to the limelight not for any funny comments but for singing.

Deb enthralled the audience by singing a Bollywood patriotic on request of singer Alka Yagnik during the closing ceremony of the 6th North East Youth Festival’ 2018 at Agartala. The Chief Minister sang the song ‘Dil diya hai jaan bhi denge, aye watan tere liye’ which is from the film Karma originally sung by Mohammad Aziz and Kavita Krishnamurthy.

The spectators were excited to see their Chief Minister perform and greeted him with a huge round of applause. Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha member Somnath Saha twitted the video of the same in which Biplob Deb could be seen singing.
