Former Karimganj SP Kumar Sanjit Krishna summoned by CID in Exam paper leak scam

Oct. 12: Kumar Sanjit Krishna was serving as the SP of Karimganj district. On Sunday, he was transferred from Karimganj and gave charge as SP of FRRO of Barpeta. A day later after his transfer, Kumar Sanjit Krishna was summoned by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in connection with the question paper leak scam of Assam Police Sub Inspector (SI) recruitment examination. Kumar Sanjit Krishna is the brother of State Chief Secretary Kumar Sanjay Krishna.

Around 46 arrests have been made by Assam Police who were found to be connected with the question paper leak scam. Those arrested include 2 BJP leaders Diban Deka and Jintu Nath, owner of Trishna Global Pvt Ltd Saroj Sharma, Rubul Hazarika, Retired DIG PK Dutta among others. Several crores of money were also recovered by the police from different locations in the state.
