DC Karimganj visits unfenced border, allayed ‘unfounded fear’ among people

September 1: Anbamuthan MP, Deputy Commissioner of Karimganj district visited the unfenced border stretching 4.5 kms along with commandant 07 BN Border Security Force (BSF) and Chairman AIDC. Possession of land has been given to BSF, however there were some grievances by the residents of Sorisa, Churakuri etc. Taking to a social media post, DC Karimganj wrote, “We allayed their fears and assured that no drastic step that would endanger their homes shall be taken either by the administration or the Border guarding agency. It was a long walk on the flood protection wall, but a fruitful one.”
