10 members of CSK contingent of IPL tests positive!

August 28: In what seems to be a matter of great worry for the Indian Premier League (IPL), 2020, at least 10 members of the MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) contingent which is currently stationed in Dubai have tested positive for Covid-19. However, there is no official confirmation yet from the Board of Control for Cricket in India or the CSK franchise.

Former cricketer Aakash Chopra in a tweet wrote, “10 members of #CSK (including an India player) found #COVID19 positive. Wish them all a speedy recovery but it does serve as a significant reminder of the times we are living in. The sanctity of the Bio-secure bubble can never be overstated. #IPL.”

The CSK franchise is currently staying at the Taj Dubai hotel. They arrived in the UAE city on August 21 and their one-week quarantine should have ended on Friday. CSK were supposed to have their first training session on Saturday, but now there is no clarity on when it will begin. As per a source, the team has been put in quarantine.
