For 2nd day in a row, India witnessed biggest one-day jump in COVID-19 cases

June 25: Though the recovery rate has gone up, yet the number of new coronavirus cases are soaring high by leaps and bounds. As many as 16,922 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in last 24 hours, thereby registering the biggest one-day rise in cases for the 2nd straight day and taking the total number of cases to 4,73,105. Along with it, India recorded a death toll of 14,894. Meanwhile, 13,012 persons were recovered and discharged in the last 24 hours across the country. As of now, a total of 2,71,696 persons have recovered. The total number of active cases in India at 8 PM on 25 June is 1,86,514 according to the data issued by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
