Another notification! TDC non-CBCS exam form submission last date extended to 25 June

June 15: Assam University, Silchar has come up with another new notification. On 15 June, Controller of Examinations (COE) in-charge of Assam University in a notification stated that in view of the prevailing condition of COVID-19 pandemic, the last date of form submission  of TDC Even Semester Examination (Non-CBCS), 2020 through offline mode has been extended till 25 June, 2020. The students are supposed to submit the forms in their respective colleges.

The notification further stated that the ‘tentative’ examination schedule for TDC Even Semester Examination 2020 for both CBCS and Non-CBCS circulated vide notification No.AUEC/ TDC-1/ Even/2020 dated 12 May, 2020 has been deferred and date for the aforementioned examinations will be notified on due course of time following government order issued from time to time.

However, on 22 May, 2020, the COE in-charge in a notification stated that the university will soon ‘launch online examination form submission in order to facilitate students to submit exam form without visiting their respective colleges.’ The same was reiterated by Dr. Suprabir Dutta Roy, Advisor to Vice Chancellor on Examinations in a press release issued on 13 June, 2020 wherein he categorically stated that “an online portal for submission of exam forms will be made available soon.”

The matter which seems to be strange is that though the COE in-charge on 22 May and Advisor to VC on 13 June officially notified that in the backdrop of the pandemic online examination form submission facility will be launched soon, but the notification issued on 15 June by the COE in-charge only mentioned about the extension of offline form submission, while remaining silent about the launching of online mode of exam form submission!
