155 new +ve cases, biggest one-time spike so far in Assam, total rises to 2681

June 7: The biggest one-time spike in COVID -19 positive cases was reported in Assam on Sunday night. A total of 155 new cases were registered. With this, the total number of novel coronavirus cases in Assam has gone upto 2681. Further, the number of active cases has also crossed 2000 and reached 2038. Sharing this information, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma further informed that , “An inadvertent error on June 6 had led to over reporting of 39 cases. So net total, after adjustments, today is 208.” However, the minister has not provided the district-wise break-up of the 155 cases reported during the night.
