16 patients discharged from 2 hospitals in Assam, total discharged 103
Active cases now 746 in Assam
May 27: There is some sort of respite for the health department of Assam as 16 patients have been discharged today in Assam after being tested COVID-19 negative twice. Out of the 16 persons discharged,15 are from Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH), Guwahati and 1 from Silchar Medical College & Hospital. With this, the total number of discharged patients have crossed the hundred mark and have reached 103. That means, at present, there are 746 active patients in Assam.

State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma was present during the discharge of the patients from MMCH, Guwahati. In a tweet, the minister wrote, “Always a delight to see smiles! Was present at MMCH with @Pijush_hazarika during discharge of 15 brave-hearts, including Tilak Deka (Lab Technician at MMCH) who got infected on line of duty. They all fought a spirited battle & won! We shall all win. Have heart and faith.”
