Hardware shops selling CGI Sheets to remain open on 25 April in the district: DC Cachar

April 24: All hardware shops in Cachar district who sells CGI sheets shall remain open on 25 April, 2020 from 9 AM till 5 PM. This was stated in an order issued by Barnali Sharma, Deputy Commissioner of Cachar. It was stated that due to the recent cyclonic storm, roofs of many houses were blown away. To repair the houses, CGI sheets are required.

However, due to the ongoing lockdown, all hardware shops are closed. To facilitate people to purchase CGI sheets, Deputy Commissioner has directed hardware shops who sells such sheets to keep their shops open on 25 April from 9 AM to 5 PM. The shops were further instructed to maintain social distancing while selling the products.
