4400 tests conducted in Assam so far

April 18: As of now, 4440 samples were collected for testing, out of which, 4199 tested negative, 34 were positive and the results of 167 were awaited. Sarma added that these tests (4400) include those that were sent from Meghalaya and Mizoram as well.

This was informed by state Health Minister, Dr. himanta Biswa Sarma in a press briefing held in Guwahati on Saturday evening. He said, “In terms of tests conducted, we are moderately placed. We have done more tests compared to other states like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal.”
