Fire in a Flat: DC Cachar orders Magisterial enquiry
ফ্ল্যাটে আগুন, ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট তদন্তের নির্দেশ

২৯ ফেব্রুয়ারি: শনিবার শিলচরের “দীনেশ এনক্লেভ”-এ এক বড়  অগ্নিকাণ্ডের প্রেক্ষিতে জেলা উপায়ুক্ত বর্ণালী শর্মা ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট তদন্তের নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন৷ অতিরিক্ত জেলাশাসক সুমিত সতয়ান্ত সে দায়িত্ব অর্পণ করা হয়েছে৷

উপায়ুক্ত শর্মা তিন বছরের শিশু রত্নদীপের (রাজদীপ নয়)-র  মৃত্যু এবং পরিচারিকা সিপ্তী নাথের জখম হবার কারণ অনুসন্ধানের জন্যই এই তদন্তের নির্দেশ দেন। সেজন্য তাকে ১৫ দিনের সময় দেওয়া হয়েছে৷

February 29: A Magistrate level enquiry was ordered on Friday by Deputy Commissioner Barnali Sarma on the incident of fire which took away the life of a child and rendered another girl burnt to a large extent at “Dinesh Enclave” in Narsing Road West, Silchar. Barnali Sarma along with Police Super Cachar rushed to the spot.

Additional District Magistrate Sumit Sattawan was entrusted the task of enquiry by the Deputy Commissioner. He was asked to ascertain the causes which led to the outbreak of the fire in which 3-year old child Ratnadip Nath was burnt alive and his caretaker Sipti Nath was severely injured. Sattawan was asked to submit his report within 15 days.

The child is learnt to have informed his mother about the fire over telephone. Fire service was called at once. But before the fire fighters could douse the flame the child, Ratnadeep Nath, aged 3 years was burnt to death in the fire.

The owner of the flat where fire broke out is Ramendu Nath. He and his wife Sarbani Nath both were not present in the flat when the incident of fire took place. Being working parents, they were out for their respective work leaving the child with the caretaker girl. Though the fire was later on brought under control, but the exact cause of the fire has not been ascertained as yet.
