February 27: Social Media has now become a forceful means of communication. Sending and receiving information via social media has become the order of the day. However, in the attempt to share information, many a times netizens are found to post objectionable contents which results in disharmony among the people. Before forwarding or sharing any news and views on social media platforms, one need to check and verify the authenticity of the information posted.
Cyber Security Laws are very stringent and netizens should be extra cautious not to post any content which may result in chaos. In this connection, taking to its official Facebook Page, Cachar Police has posted a word of caution. In the said post, it was stated, “Request all Citizens of Cachar district not to post any objectionable comments/contents related to any religion or society in Social media. Strict lawful action will be initiated against any person making such objectionable comments.”
