Shani Mandir Committee along with BVVBDF organises blood donation camp

January 10: The annual festival of Radhamadhab Road Shani Temple is on 11 January, 2020. In this connection, a voluntary blood donation camp was organised by the Shani Mandir Committee in association with Barak Valley Voluntary Blood Donation Forum (BVVBDF) along with Lions Club of Silchar Greater on 10 January. The said camp was technically supported by S.M. Dev Civil Hospital Blood Bank.

The voluntary blood camp was inaugurated in the presence of Karunamoy Paul-General Secretary of the Central Committee of BVVBDF, its Treasurer Debobrata Paul, President of its Cachar District Committee Dr. Manoj Kumar Paul, its Secretary cum President of Lions Club of Silchar Greater Sabyasachi Rudra Gupta, in-charge of Civil Hospital Blood Bank Dr. Subrata Nandi among others.

The dignitaries present there inaugurated the camp by lightning the lamp. In their address, they highlighted the importance of blood donation and also tried to dispel myths associated with it. Speakers also spoke about various other aspects of blood donation and thus tried to create awareness among the audience.

In this voluntary blood donation camp, 9 persons including 1 woman donated blood. Also present in the blood donation camp were Ashu Paul, Sujoy Nath, Ranjit Mishra, Prabal Kanti Banik, Sahili Deb, Bubu Choudhury, Sonali Banik, Monideepa Deb, Geetali Paul among others.
