Narcotics recovered at Lala in Hailakandi, 1 arrested

September 24: On the basis of secret information, a joint team of 29 Assam Rifles and Assam Police recovered suspected Heroin in 21 small plastic containers weighing 38 gms each and 3 empty containers. The narcotics was recovered from an Auto van at Sani Bari Bazar under Lala Police Station in Hailakandi district. The auto driver was apprehended and handed over by Assam Rifles to Lala police. Investigation is on to trace others involved in this narcotics racket.
