After 7 years, TET in Assam likely to be held in September

May 2: It’s a welcome news for the job aspirants of Assam. In all probability, the Teachers Eligibility Test, popularly known as TET is likely to be held in the state tentatively between September 22nd to 29th, 2019.  As per reports, more than 36,500 teaching posts in the school are vacant and the TET will be held to fill up those vacant posts.

In a meeting of the Empowered Committee on March 20th, 2019, it was decided that Elementary TET will be held and the question papers will be printed in five mediums: Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, Bodo and English.It was learnt that exam will be held in all the districts of Assam, including the districts administered by the territorial and autonomous councils.

 

The application process for Assam TET 2019 exam is completely online. Once the state government makes formal advertisement,the willing candidates can log on to the official website of Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhijan to find the link of the Assam TET 2019 application form in the notification bar.

The last TET exam was held in Assam in 2012 wherein more than 26,100 teachers were recruited in the primary and upper primary level. However, further details regarding the date of exam and other modalities have not yet been finalised.
