বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তিতে কর্মসংস্থানের সুযোগ নিয়ে বক্তৃতানুষ্ঠান আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে

ওয়ে টু বরাক, ১১ মার্চ : আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের পদার্থবিজ্ঞান বিভাগের উদ্যোগে বুধবার ‘বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তিতে বিভিন্ন কর্মসংস্থানের সুযোগ অন্বেষণ’ শীর্ষক একটি বিশেষ বক্তৃতানুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করা হয়। এতে প্রধান বক্তা হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন বেঙ্গালুরুর ভারতীয় বিজ্ঞান সংস্থার (আইআইএসসি) পদার্থবিজ্ঞান বিভাগের অধ্যাপক ড. অনিমেষ কুলে।

বিভাগীয় প্রধান অধ্যাপক হিমাদ্রি শেখর দাসের স্বাগত ভাষণের মধ্য দিয়ে অনুষ্ঠানের সূচনা হয়। অধ্যাপক কুলে আধুনিক বৈজ্ঞানিক প্রেক্ষাপটে বিভিন্ন পেশাগত দিক নিয়ে শিক্ষার্থীদের সঙ্গে আলোচনা করেন। কীভাবে পদার্থবিজ্ঞানের মৌলিক গবেষণা শিক্ষাজগৎ ছাড়াও বিভিন্ন গবেষণা প্রতিষ্ঠান এবং দ্রুত বর্ধনশীল প্রযুক্তি খাতে কাজের সুযোগ তৈরি করতে পারে। বিশেষ করে কম্পিউটেশনাল মডেলিং ও এনার্জি সিস্টেমের মতো উদীয়মান ক্ষেত্রগুলোতে প্রতিযোগিতায় টিকে থাকার জন্য আন্তঃবিভাগীয় দক্ষতা অর্জনের ওপর তিনি গুরুত্ব আরোপ করেন।

অনুষ্ঠানে পদার্থবিজ্ঞান বিভাগের অধ্যাপক বি আই শর্মা, ড. উৎপল সরকার, ড. বিধান মোহান্ত, ড. স্বর্ণদীপ বিশ্বাস এবং ড. মহানন্দ বরো সহ অন্যরা উপস্থিত ছিলেন। অনুষ্ঠানের শেষে একটি প্রশ্নোত্তর পর্ব অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। এতে শিক্ষার্থীরা বিজ্ঞানের বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রে তাদের ভবিষ্যৎ ক্যারিয়ার গড়ার বিষয়ে সরাসরি নির্দেশিকা লাভ করেন। পুরো অনুষ্ঠান সঞ্চালনা করেন অতিথি শিক্ষক সঞ্চালী নাথ মজুমদার।

Way2barak, March 11 : A special lecture programme titled “Exploring Career Opportunities in Science and Technology” was organized on Wednesday by the Department of Physics of Assam University. The keynote speaker of the programme was Dr. Animesh Kuley from the Department of Physics at the Indian Institute of Science in Bengaluru.

The programme began with a welcome address by the Head of the Department, Prof. Himadri Shekhar Das. During his lecture, Prof. Kuley discussed various professional prospects in the context of modern scientific developments and interacted with students on different career pathways. He explained how fundamental research in physics can open up career opportunities not only in academia but also in several research institutions and rapidly growing technology sectors. He particularly emphasized the importance of acquiring interdisciplinary skills to remain competitive in emerging fields such as computational modeling and energy systems.

Among others present at the programme were Prof. B. I. Sharma, Dr. Utpal Sarkar, Dr. Bidhan Mohanta, Dr. Swarnadeep Biswas and Dr. Mahananda Boro of the Department of Physics. The event concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, where students received direct guidance regarding building their future careers in various fields of science. The programme was conducted by guest faculty member Sanchali Nath Mazumdar.
