Innerwheel Club District Chairman visited Slichar Central Jail

way2barak, Oct 23 : The members of the Innerwheel club of Silchar visited the Central Jail together with the District Chairman Anindita Dey. As a part of the program the Innerwheel club jointly with the Silchar Cancer Centre, which is a unit of Assam Cancer Care Foundation and District NCD Cell, Cachar did a Breast Cancer screening test for about 40 inmates of the female ward together with the basic health care tests aiming to keep the female inmates in a healthier condition. Dr.Sananda, Health Officer at the Central Jail helped in every possible way for the project.President Madhumita Paul,with our District Chairman Anindita Dey ,Joint Secretary Ankita Ghosh, Editor Minu Choudhury, Treasurer Moumita Gupta, ISO Sampa Banik, alongwith member Debarshee Banik were present.

District Chairman of Innerwheel Club D-324 Anindita Dey visited the women’s cell of Silchar Central jail and had a conversation with the female inmates and encouraged them to be self dependent. Club conducted a one month tailoring course to them and trained them to make bags, which are made of clothes and are used for shopping. Chairman marked the conclusion of the tailoring course and was happy to see the confidence in them.
