5th list containing 56 names of candidates released by Congress

March 18: When the BJP seems to be sruggling over the issue of announcing its candidates for the Lok Sabha Election of 2019, the Congress is continuing declaring its list. On Monday, Congress announced its 5th list which contain the names of 56 candidates who will contest the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls. Out of the 56 candidates, five from Assam, 22 from Andhra Pradesh, six from Odisha, eight from Telangana, three from Uttar Pradesh, 11 from West Bengal and one from Lakshadweep.

From Assam, Congress gave tickets to Bhubaneswar Kalita from Mangaldai MGVK Bhanu from Tezpur, Biren Singh Engti from Diphu and Pradyut Bordoloi from Nagaon and Anil Borgohain from Lakhimpur parliamentary seat. Earlier, Congress declared from Assam, the names of Swarup Das has been fielded from Karimganj, Sushmita Dev from Silchar, Gaurav Gogoi from Kaliabor, Paban Singh Ghatowar from Dibrugarh and Sushanta Borgohain from Jorhat.
