Post-Durga Puja celebration, 9 tests Covid positive in Cachar on Saturday

way2barak, Oct.8: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Saturday at 7.28 PM. As per the latest data, 09 persons were found positive in the district on 8 October. The number of active cases in Cachar is 14. It needs mention here that this is the highest single day cases post-Durga Puja celebrations.

As per the updated data, a total of 78 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 07 persons were  found positive, whereas 02 were detected positive out of 22 RT-PCR Tests. Moreover, no patient was discharged on Saturday. With this, the total number of Covid cases during this phase reached 988, whereas, 973 patients were discharged.

Finally, there exists no active Covid-19 cases at any hospital in the district. All the 14 active Covid positive patients opted for home isolation. The last 24 hours also did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient in Cachar.
