28,230 kg fertilizer & 1,600 kg Burmese supari seized by Cachar Police in 2 separate incidents

way2barak, Sept.12: The crackdown on illegal supply of ferlizer and Burmese Supari by Assam Police is going on in a war footing. During Naka checking, Silchar Police intercepted three trucks bearing Registration No- NL-01AD 2547, NL-01AD 2548 and NL-01AD 2551 and seized 28,230 Kgs of Fertilizer (Urea). Legal action is being initiated.

In another incident, based on secret information, Cachar Police intercepted one truck bearing Registration No- MZ05 6645 and seized 40 bags (1,600 Kgs) of suspected Burmese supari. Two persons were apprehended. Necessary lawful action is being initiated.
