2nd Monkey Pox case in India reported from Kerala

July 18: “India’s second positive case of Monkey Pox in Kerala has been confirmed in Kannur District,” confirms State Health Ministry. The first case of the virus in the country was also reported in Kerala last week when a traveller from UAE tested positive.

“The 31-year-old man from Kannur is currently undergoing treatment at Pariyaram Medical College. The patient’s health condition is reported to be satisfactory. Those in close contact with him have been put under surveillance,” says Kerala Health Minister Veena George.
