News channel to adopt Nagaland village that played host to Netaji

January 24: On 23 January 2019, when the nation was paying its tribute to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his 122nd birth anniversary, a remote village in the state of Nagaland came to the limelight due to Netaji connection. Ruzazho village under Phek district of Nagaland claimed as the ‘first Azad Hind government administered village (1944)’ saw much activity.

Delhi based Sudarshan News Channel Limited on the birth anniversary of Netaji adopted Ruzazho village as a formal tribute to the help provided by them to Netaji and his Indian National Army. Chief Managing Director and Editor-in-chief Suresh Chavhanke of Sudarshan News Channel while making the formal announcement of the adoption of this village under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSS), said that with the adoption, the Sudarshan Rashtra Nirman Trust would endeavor to bring about all round development for this remote village.

Suresh Chavhanke said that the Trust would pursue with the central government for bringing about funds for development of roads, converting the village into Heritage Village, developing the house where Bose stayed at Ruzazho into a national museum and also bring about Eklavya School into the village. He said it would also move for granting of pension to those who helped Bose during his stay in this village. He announced that the Trust would work towards transforming and equipping the village with modern facilities and also connecting it with the mainland through social media and information technology.
