ACTA to organise research paper writing competition among students; 1st prize Rs.25,000

May 6: The Central Executive Committee of Assam College Teachers’ Association (ACTA) has decided to hold a research paper writing competition among higher secondary and under graduate students in association with all zones of ACTA.There will be three cash prizes for the competition- First Prize Rs.25000,Second Prize Rs.15000 and Third Prize Rs.10,000.

All zones of ACTA will invite research papers on the specified theme(s) from intending students and will examine all papers with the help of experts. From among the research papers received, each zone will send three best papers to the Central Executive Committee (CEC). The CEC will then get the research papers sent by the zones examined with the help of experts in the concerned fields and adjudge three papers as Best, Second Best and third Best. The winners will be given away the prizes in a function held in Guwahati.

The last date for the zones to send the three best papers adjudged by them to the CEC is 31 July, 2022.The opening and closing dates for receiving the papers from participating students will be decided by the zonal committees as per their convenience. The Medium of writing is both English and Assamese.

For participation, interested students may contact the ACTA units of their respective colleges. The broad theme for the research paper writing competition is “Role of Higher Educational Institutions (HEs) in Transforming Assam into a developed State.”
