APSC cash-for-job scam: Charge sheet framed against 67 accused

April 19: The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) cash-for-job scam has again surfaced. Charges were framed on Tuesday by a special court against 67 accused in this connection. Out of the 67 against whom charge sheet was framed, 60 of them were candidates who sat from the APSC examination, whereas the rest seven were staff and members.

Apart from them, two more were acquitted by the court due to a lack of evidence against them. Two other accused, identified as Sudeep Das and Rajiv Paul were declared absconding by the court. Rajib Pal is the brother of the prime accused Rakesh Pal, while Sudeep Das was the personal assistant of Rakesh Pal.
