1 found Covid +ve in Cachar on Sunday

Feb. 27: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Sunday at 9 PM. As per the latest data, 01 person was found positive in the district on 27 February. The number of active cases in Cachar is 01. It needs mention here that none were found positive on Saturday. The death toll in Cachar due to Covid has reached 36 this year.

As per the updated data, a total of 42 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, no persons were  found positive, whereas 01 was detected positive out of 31 RT-PCR Tests. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 Jan 2022 reached 6,417 whereas during this phase, 6,380 patients were discharged. Finally, there exists no active Covid-19 cases at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). The last 24 hours (5 PM on 26 February to 5 PM on 27 February) also did not witness the death any Covid-19 positive patient at SMCH. None were further detected positive during the day. This was informed by Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Sunday evening.
