10 found Covid+ve in Karimganj & none in Hailakandi on Monday

Jan. 3: Hailakandi is gradually inching towards a Covid free district. On Monday, Hailakandi registered no new COVID-19 case. The district has altogether has 20 active COVID-19 cases. During the day, 653 RAT tests and 139 RT-PCR tests were done. No patient was discharged during the day. With this, the district tally of Covid cases has now reached 7,952 (both 1st & 2nd wave).

As of now, a total of 4,505 patients were discharged. It needs mention here that 01 person was found positive in Hailakandi on Sunday. Till date, 51 persons died due to Covid-19 in Hailakandi district.  A total of 2,823 persons were vaccinated on Monday.

Karimganj registered 10 fresh COVID case on Monday. The district has currently 22 active COVID cases, while 02 patients were discharged on Monday. 889 swab samples were collected during the day. It needs mention here that no persons were detected positive in Karimganj on Sunday.
