Football legend Maradona’s watch stolen from Dubai & recovered in Assam, 1 nabbed
Dec. 11: Strange but true! A costly Hublot watch of football legend Diego Maradona got stolen from Dubai. On being investigated Dubai Police got some clue that the watch is likely to be stolen by a man from Assam in India.
Immediately Dubai Police came in touch with Assam Police. Informing this, DGP Assam Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta stated, “As informed through Central Agency by Dubai Police, one Wazid Hussain from Assam had stolen a limited edition Maradona signed Hublot watch that belonged to the legend himself and fled to Assam.”

On Saturday morning at 4 AM Assam Police arrested the suspect Wazid Hussain from his residence in Sibsagar on the basis of the information provided by their Dubai counterpart.
Assam Police further informed that the limited edition watch belonging to Maradona has been recovered from Wazid Hussain.
Based on the input shared by Spl DGP Sh G.P. Singh and under his constant guidance Sivasagar Police successfully recovered the heritage watch belonging to football legend Diego Maradona and apprehended the culprit.

The watch belonging to the legendary Football player himself, was being stored in Dubai along with other belongings in a safe.
