3 found Covid +ve in Cachar on 31 October
Active cases 46 in Cachar, 3 discharged on Sunday
Oct. 31: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Sunday at night. As per the latest data, a total of 03 persons were found positive in the district on 31 October. Also, 03 patients were discharged during the day. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has come down to 46. It needs mention here that on Saturday, 04 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
As per the updated data, a total of 821 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, no persons were found positive, whereas 03 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 20,277 whereas during this phase, 20,015 patients were discharged.
Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 46 active patients:
17 of them are admitted at SMCH
01 at MH
02 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
00 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
26 patients are in home isolation.
The Covid-19 situation in Cachar is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 30 October to 5 PM on 31 October) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Sunday evening.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 31 October, there were 13 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, no patient was put under ventilator support, and 01 of them was in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 01 Covid positive patient was admitted at SMCH and 02 of them were discharged.
