Only 1 detected Covid +ve till 5 PM in Cachar on Thursday

Sept 23: A total of 01 new case of COVID-19 was reported till 5 PM on Thursday in Cachar. The number of positive cases is expected to rise towards the night. During the day, 2,814 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) were done in which 01 person was found positive, whereas till the filing of this report, RT-PCR test results were not made available. It needs mention here that 09 persons were detected Covid-19 positive on Wednesday.

The Covid-19 situation in Cachar is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 22 September to 5 PM on 23 September) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Thursday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 23 September, there were 14 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, no patients were put under ventilator support, but 02 were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 03 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH but none of them were discharged.
