Silchar Airport paid tribute to the martyrs & celebrated the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’

Aug. 16: The Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations started at Airport Authority of India (AAI), Silchar Airport with hoisting of National Flag in presence of all stakeholders & general public on 15 August. APD wished all a happy Independence Day & appreciates the efforts being undertaken by all during this pandemic. Airport Director then felicitated the brave COVID warriors of Silchar Airport. AAI extended gratitude to all for their contribution in ensuring a safe & comfortable travel experience for passengers during this pandemic.

The brave jawans of CISF enthralled the audience with their music prowess. Charlie, the veteran from the Dog squad found out the hidden IED and proved once again why they are called the man’s best friend.

The children of AAI employees & students of Yoga school, Kumbhirgram delighted the audience with beautiful display of Yoga. Yoga can help in strengthening the immune system & reduce stress. Famous quotes of Freedom fighters, were displayed on FIDS & beautiful Rangolis welcomed the passengers. Ruma Banik of IndiGo gave a mesmerizing dance tribute to martyrs of India’s Independence movement. A flash mob of passengers, Airlines & AAI officials, including APD joined in to encourage the performance.
