Amarjit Sinha, advisor to PM Modi resigns 7 months ahead of completion of term

Aug 3: Amarjit Sinha, advisor to Prime Minister Narendra Modi tendered his resignation with seven months to go before his 2-year tenure was to end officially. He is the 2nd top official to quit the PMO this year after PK Sinha resigned as principal Adviser to PM Modi earlier this year. Sinha looked after social sector matters in the PMO. There was no official statement from the PMO on the reason for Sinha’s decision.
