989 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Saturday, 19 deaths registered

July 31: On Saturday, out of 1,07,285 tests, 989 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 5,66,198. The positivity rate in the state is 0.92 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 160 positive cases during the day. Further, on Saturday, 19 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 5,260. The recovery rate is 96.72 percent.

It needs mention here that on Friday, 1,179 persons tested positive in Assam and 20 deaths were registered.
