With 14 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 42 on 27 July

July 27: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Tuesday at 10.30 PM. As per the latest data, 14 more persons were detected as Coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 42 persons were found positive in the district on 27 July. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 28 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has come down to 283. This was informed by District Media Expert on Tuesday night. Also, 46 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Monday, 30 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.

As per the updated data, a total of 6,408 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 27 persons were found positive, whereas 15 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 18,939 whereas during this phase, 18,475 patients were discharged.

105 patients are in home isolation.

The Covid-19 situation in gradually is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 26 July to 5 PM on 27 July) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Tuesday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 27 July, there were 75 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 39 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 36 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 07 patients were put under ventilator support and 52 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 12 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 01 of them were discharged.
