90 new +cases in Assam including 20 from Barak Valley, total rises to 2243
Active cases 1727 in Assam
June 5: On Friday night, 90 more positive cases of COVID-19 were reported from 13 districts of Assam. Sharing this information, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet informed that the total number of cases of COVID-19 has gone upto 2243 in Assam, out of which, 1727 are active cases. On Friday alone, 128 positive cases were detected in Assam. Here is the district wise break up of the 90 new positive cases:
- 37 Dhubri
- 15 Dima Hasao,
- 7 Karimganj
- 7 Cachar
- 7 Baksa
- 6 Hailakandi
- 3 Udalguri
- 2 South Salmara
- 2 Dhemaji
- 1 Nalbari
- 1 Barpeta
- 1 Bongaigaon
- 1 Chirang
A total of 20 positive cases were reported from the three districts of Barak Valley. Earlier, 4 more cases were reported from Karimganj and Hailakandi. This means on Friday itself, a total of 24 positive cases were detected from Barak Valley. Here is the district-wise break-up of COVID-19 cases in Barak Valley as detected on Friday:
- Karimganj: 09
- Hailakandi: 08
- Cachar: 07
