2345 patients discharged in Assam on Thursday

August 27: On Thursday, 2345 patients were discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care Centres in Assam. With this, 79,307 patients got recovered and were subsequently discharged in the state. In a tweet, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “2345 patients discharged today. Glad that number of discharged patients is now 80% of total cases! Proud of doctors & certain that we shall win!”

Also, 2036 new positive cases of COVID-19 were reported from across Assam. With this, the total number of persons infected with novel coronavirus in Assam has now gone upto 98,807. Further, 4 more persons died due to COVID-19 in Assam, thereby taking the death tally of the state to 278.
