886 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Wednesday, 1,098 discharged & 14 deaths registered
There are 9,472 active Covid cases in Assam
Aug 11: On Wednesday, out of 1,01,668 tests, 886 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 5,77,035. The positivity rate in the state is 0.87 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 161 positive cases during the day. Further, on Wednesday, 14 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 5,434. The recovery rate is 97.18 percent.
It needs mention here that on Tuesday, 929 persons tested positive in Assam and 16 deaths were registered.
On Wednesday, 1,098 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 5,60,782 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. At present, there are 9,472 active cases in the state.

Further, during the day, 14 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. Out of the 14 deceased, 02 each from Dibrugarh, Kamrup Metro, Udalguri; 01 each from Cachar, Dhubri, Kamrup Rural, Kokhrajhar, Nagaon, Sivasagar, Sonitpur & West Karbi Anglong. The death tally of the state now stands at 5,434.
