830 found Covid +ve in Assam on Wednesday, 2 deaths & active cases 5,243 in the state

July 20: On Wednesday, out of 7,651 tests, 830 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus stands at 7,32,492. The positivity rate in the state is 10.85. percent. Out of the 830 positive cases, the high case load districts are: Baksa (84), Sonitpur (71), Dibrugarh (57), Goalpara (56) and Nagaon (56). Further, 40 persons were found positive in Cachar district on Wednesday.

Further, on Wednesday, 02 died in the state due to COVID-19. The deceased are from Jorhat and Nalbari. The death toll in the state stands at 6,656. The recovery rate is 98.20 percent. 443 persons were discharged during the day. So far, 7,19,241 persons got cured and were discharged. There are at present 5,243 active Covid patients in the state.

It needs mention here that on Tuesday, 755 persons tested positive in Assam and 03 deaths were registered.
