12 found Covid-19 Positive in Cachar on 17 October
Active cases 33 in Cachar, 8 discharged on Sunday
Oct. 17: On Sunday, 12 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar district. Also, 04 patients were discharged during the day. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has come down to 33. This was informed by District Media Expert on Sunday night. It needs mention here that on Saturday, 07 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
As per the updated data, a total of 691 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 03 persons were found positive, whereas09 were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 20,158 whereas during this phase, 19,909 patients were discharged.
Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 33 active patients:
04 of them are admitted at SMCH
06 at MH
00 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
00 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
23 patients are in home isolation.
The Covid-19 situation in Cachar is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 16 October to 5 PM on 17 October) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Sunday evening.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 17 October, there were 07 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, no patient was put under ventilator support, and 01 of them was in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, no Covid positive patient was admitted at SMCH and 02 of them were discharged.
