736 found Covid +ve in Assam on Saturday, 1 death & active cases 6,107 in the state

July 23: On Saturday, out of 6,833 tests, 736 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus stands at 7,34,748. The positivity rate in the state is 10.77. percent. Out of the 736 positive cases, the high case load districts are: Dibrugarh (89), Cachar (49), Lakhimpur (46), Kamrup Metro (45) and Baksa (43). Further, on Saturday, 01 died in the state due to COVID-19. The deceased is from Sonitpur. The death toll in the state stands at 6,661. The recovery rate is 98.08 percent. 136 persons were discharged during the day. So far, 7,20,628 persons got cured and were discharged. There are at present 6,107 active Covid patients in the state.

It needs mention here that on Friday, 800 persons tested positive in Assam and 02 deaths were registered.
