698 tests +ve in Assam on Monday; 1530 patients discharged
Active cases 27,319 in Assam
Oct. 19: On Monday, out of 34,956 tests only 698 were detected as COVID-19 positive. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 2,01,407, out of which, 27,319 are active cases. The positivity rate in the state is 2 percent.
On Monday, 1530 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 1,73,210 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Further, during the day, 07 more persons in the state died due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death tally of the state to 875.
