5th death due to COVID-19 reported in Assam

June 9: In an information shared on his twitter handle, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that another person has died in Assam due to COVID-19. This takes the total COVID-19 related death tally in the state to five. As per reports, the 5th death has occurred in Karbi Anglong district. The deceased is learnt to have a travel history from Chennai.

Till now, coronavirus has affected 2937 people of Assam, out of which, 1844 are active cases. A total of 1085 people were discharged, whereas 03 of them have migrated.
