5 poll-bound states not to have PM Modi’s photo in Covid vaccine certificates

Jan. 10: With the declaration of Assembly elections schedule in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Manipur and Goa, the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) has come into force from 9 January, 2022. In compliance with the MCC guidelines, the MoHFW has applied filters to CoWIN software. The vaccine certificates which would now be issued won’t have the photograph of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The election in these states will be held between 10 February and 7 March. The counting of votes in these 5 states will take place on 10 March, 2022.
