5 found Covid-19 positive in Cachar on Sunday

Active cases 73 in Cachar

Sept 19: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Sunday at 10.35 PM. As per the latest data, 05 persons were detected as Coronavirus positive during the day. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has gone down to 73. This was informed by District Media Expert on Sunday night. Also, 22 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Saturday, 02 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.

As per the updated data, a total of 834 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 01 person was found positive, whereas 04 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 19,978 whereas during this phase, 19,706 patients were discharged.

Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 81 active patients:

22 of them are admitted at SMCH
08 at MH
00 at SM Dev Civil Hospital
06 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
00 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
04 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
33 patients are in home isolation.

The Covid-19 situation in gradually is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 18 September to 5 PM on 19 September) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Sunday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 19 September, there were 15 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, no patients were put under ventilator support and 03 in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 02 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 02 of them were discharged.
