499 tests COVID-19 +ve in Assam on Thursday, 1 death registered

April 15: On Thursday, out of 18,323 tests, 499 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 2,22,367. The positivity rate in the state is 2.72 percent. At present, there are 3,613 active cases in the state. Kamrup (M) district recorded 255 cases during the day.

On Thursday, 85 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 2,16,284, patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. The recovery rate in the state is 97.26%.

Further, during the day, 01 patient died in Assam due to COVID-19. The deceased is from Kamrup Metro. The death tally of the state stands at 1,123.
