4 deaths registered in Barak Valley in last 24 hours

Sept. 16: Once again, COVID-19 deaths were registered in Barak Valley in the last 24 hours. Four more persons succumbed to COVID-19 in the valley, out of which, 03 are from Cachar and 01 from Karimganj. The deceased were identified as:

• Parvej Hussain (age: 18 days) from Lathigram in Udharbond was admitted at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH) in the afternoon on 29 September. The baby, however, died at 8.55 PM on the same day. His death was certified as non-Covid death by the State Death Audit Board.
• Arati Chakraborty (75) from Udharbond was admitted at SMCH in the morning on 24 September. She breathed his last at 9.44 AM on 30 September. Her death was certified as non-Covid death by the State Death Audit Board.
• Sanjay Sur (25) from Malugram was admitted at Valley Hospital on 25 September. He succumbed to the infection on 29 September. His death was certified as Covid death by the State Death Audit Board.
• Bani Paul Choudhury (80) from Karimganj died in her home district. Her death was certified as Covid death by the State Death Audit Board.
