Highest one-day spike! 153 found Covid +ve in Karimganj on Monday

May 10: Karimganj registered highest spike of 153 fresh COVID-19 cases on Monday, pushing the coronavirus tally in the district to 5,314. Of the 153 active cases detected on Monday, 139 have been found positive under Rapid Antigen Test and 14 under RT-PCR. It needs mention here that on Sunday, 92 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive.

Seven persons have succumbed to COVID-19 in the second wave of the pandemic. The district has altogether 684 active COVID-19 cases while 26 patients have been discharged from hospital and home isolation on Monday. 1,379 swab samples were collected on Monday. Altogether 2,40,763 samples have been tested so far.
The district has currently eight active containment zones.
