Cash award to distinction/ star marks holders in HSLC: Eligible students to enroll online

July 14: Govt. of Assam is likely to issue a notification for providing cash award to the students who have Distinction/ Star marks in the HSLC/AHM examination, 2022.

In order to expedite the process, Board of Secondary Education (SEBA), Assam has decided to collect the bank details of the students an mentioned above so that as and when the govt declares policy, the benefit should be extended quickly. For this process, a portal has been opened in the website of SEBA from 11 A.M. of 15/07/2022 to 5 PM 30/07/2022. In the Portal, list of eligible students shall be pre-populated.

1. Eligible students need to visit the official website of SEBA (https://sebaonline.org) and click on the link “Anundoram Borooah Award Scheme (ARBAS), 2022 Application for Cash Award”, and go through the instructions therein.

2. Students should fill in Roll, Number and Date of Birth according to the Admit Card Issued at the time of HSLC/AHM Examination, 2022 Only eligible candidates, that is, students who have secured Distinction/ Star marks will be able to log in.

3. Students will have to provide a Bank Account number along with IFSS Code after they login. They should have a Bank Account exactly In his/her name. Bank account in any other name or identity will not be accepted.

4 Take a print out of the Acknowledgement Receipt and keep in safe custody.

Issuing this order, Secretary of Board of Secondary Education (SEBA), Assam on 13 July, 2022 stated that, “It had been noticed during previous years that many bank accounts remain inactive due to lack of recent transactions. Also, some accounts have transaction limits enabled. In such cases, it might not be technically possible to transfer the cash award. Hence, the students may be advised to take precautionary measures with their respective bank regarding this.”
