3 detected Covid +ve till 5 PM in Cachar on Monday

Oct. 4: A total of 03 new cases of COVID-19 was reported till 5 PM on Monday in Cachar. The number of positive cases is expected to rise towards the night. During the day, 2,282 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) were done in which 03 persons were found positive, whereas till the filing of this report, RT-PCR test results were not made available. It needs mention here that 09 persons were detected Covid-19 positive on Sunday.

The Covid-19 situation in Cachar is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 3 October to 5 PM on 4 October) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Monday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 4 October, there were 16 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, 02 patients were put under ventilator support and 04 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 03 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 03 of them were discharged.
