29 found Covid +ve in Cachar on Wednesday, 139 active cases in the district

Aug 3: The District Health Department updated the Covid-19 data of Wednesday. As per the latest data, 29 persons (0 RT-PCR & 29 RAT) were found positive in the district on 3 August, 2022. At present, 137 positive patients in the district have opted for home isolation & 02 have taken admission in hospitals. Further, 46 persons were discharged during the day.

As per the updated data, a total of 337 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 29 persons were found positive, whereas none was detected positive out of 08 RT-PCR Tests. With this, the total number of active Covid cases stands at 139. It needs mention here that on Tuesday, 19 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar district.

During this phase (1 July, 2022 onwards) till now 694 positive cases were detected and 554 were discharged in the district of Cachar. During this phase, a total of 01 death was registered. The deceased, a resident of Silchar died at GNRC, Guwahati.

District Administration Cachar in a message stated, “Public is requested to adhere to all COVID 19 protocols and keep themselves safe, as CoVID 19 cases have started creeping up again.”
