2310 patients discharged in Assam on Friday

August 14: On Friday, 2310 patients were discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care Centres from across Assam. With this, 51,693 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged in Assam. In a tweet, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “2310 patients discharged today. Pleased to see that so many people have recovered. I wish them good health & long life ahead.”

On Friday, 2706 persons tested positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has gone upto 74,501, out of which, 22,630 are active. In Cachar district, a total of 97 persons tested positive during the day. Further, 6 persons died on Friday, thereby taking the death tally to 175.
